Hester & Esther Gauntlets

Hester Gauntlet

Now available from Fibres Exotica, two original OneHandKnits’ patterns. These fingerless gloves with intricate lace detailing evoke the elegance of the 1920′s.  Gauntlets are knit in-the-round on 3.25mm double-pointed needles using just one skein of Dupion, a reeled 100% Mulberry silk DK-weight yarn.  An elastic rib expands over the thumb gusset and provisional cast-on between thumb and fingers ensures a seamless professional finish.

Perfect for bridal wear or to accessorize that 1980′s puffball skirt you’ve always wanted.

Additional skills needed: reading charts, lace knitting, provisional cast-on

very delicately beautiful, I have only made plain knit gloves so far with intarsia designs, this inspires me to try some lace
